Christina Lentz joined Choice Research Associates in 2024 after serving in various leadership roles within State government for over 16 years. As the Director of the Maryland Statistical Analysis Center in the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, she oversaw Maryland’s Race-Based Traffic Stop Data reporting, was influential in the development and implementation of the Maryland Law Enforcement Dashboard, and was instrumental in the Governor’s StateStat performance measurement initiative. In 2011, Christina transitioned to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services where she served as the Executive Director of the Office of Grants, Policy, and Statistics for over a decade. Her effectiveness as a project manager, leader, and strategic thinker led to her appointment as the Department’s Deputy Secretary of Administration in 2022 where she was responsible for multiple key administrative units to include finance, human resources, procurement, and various subunits.

Throughout her career, Christina has effectively engaged and led others in critical thinking, data analysis, and policy/program development and evaluation; collaborated with and led teams from various disciplines to generate ideas and effectuate change; and, merged data and research with operational functions for more effective and efficient management of criminal justice agencies. Her interests include policy development, policy and program evaluation, performance management, and linking practitioners and research in order to effectively improve criminal justice systems.

Christina earned her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from University of Baltimore and is currently completing her Ph.D. (ABD) in Public Policy from University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
