Katherine (Katie) Rankin is a researcher and data analyst in human services and criminal justice with experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. She is passionate about translational research—bridging the gap between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. To achieve this, Katie believes in directly engaging community stakeholders to address their needs through data-driven solutions and evidence-based practices.

She received her PhD from the University of Cincinnati where she conducted a mixed-methods examination of prison disciplinary hearings. Her primary research interests include corrections, organizational and worker wellbeing, juvenile justice, and child welfare.

Katie joined Choice Research Associates as a Research Consultant in February 2025.
