Erin Farley began working with Choice Research Associates in September of 2014 to assist in the program evaluation of a D.C.-based truancy prevention program.
In August of 2019, Erin took a position of Assistant Professor of Sociology at Gallaudet University. Prior to joining Gallaudet, Erin worked at the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) and Center for Court Innovation conducting research and evaluation. During her tenure at JRSA Erin also served as the Project Manager for the Training and Technical Assistance Program for the State Statistical Analysis Centers.
Since Erin established Farley Consulting LLC in 2019, she has worked with Choice Research Associates on several projects. This includes providing technical assistance to support and enhance performance measurement among Maryland criminal justice practitioners funded by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services as well as providing support to enhance accessibility of online PDF documents for the Rise Project led by the Network for Victim Recovery of DC (NVRDC). Erin is currently working with Choice Research Associates as a performance measurement expert to advise 2M Research on evaluating the Shakespeare in American Communities/Juvenile Justice program.
In November of 2020 Erin completed a project in collaboration with colleagues in the Department of Government and Public Affairs which entailed examining costs related to ADA-mandated programs, accommodations, and requirements. As part of this project Erin examined Web accessibility and completed a Web accessibility training and W3C certified course.
Erin has also served as a consultant for the Criminal and Justice Institute and the Federal Research Division of the Library of Congress.
Erin’s research and intellectual interests include program evaluation and assessment, criminal justice reform, green criminology, historical criminology, law and society, and social justice. Erin earned her Ph.D. in Criminology from the University of Delaware in 2007 and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 with a B.S. in Psychology.
