Kyle Dorsey, MA, began working with Choice Research Associates in the Summer of 2022. Kyle earned his BA and MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland College Park (UMD). While earning his degrees, he was a research assistant for a few projects, including one that examined a beta-blocking drug’s impact on triglyceride levels, another which analyzed the life-cycle of guns, and another that examined repeat victimization of intimate partner violence. Kyle's graduate thesis examined the relationship between juvenile co-offending experiences and subsequent adult criminal behavior.

After graduating from UMD, Kyle worked as an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Manager at Pathways to Housing DC for two years. Kyle then became a Lecturer for the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UMD, where he spent  four years teaching five undergraduate classes about criminal theories, the structure of the criminal justice system, individual and societal-level responses to violent crimes, human trafficking, in addition to a course about crime and delinquency prevention. Kyle is currently serving as an Academic Advisor in the Department of Psychology at UMD.
