Madeline Pheasant, MA, Statistical Consultant, began working with Choice Research Associates in the Summer of 2020. Madeline is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland - College Park. Currently, Madeline is working on a variety of projects at UMD including a randomized controlled trial of the Second Chance Pell program, leveraging group based trajectory models to understand trends within a correctional setting, as well as impacts of modeling choices, and identifying causal effects of summer employment programs on arrests. Madeline is primarily interested in interdependent decision making, LGBTQ+ identity and it's intersection with the legal system, and quantitative methodology applied to criminal justice policy. Madeline earned their Master's Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is expected to complete their Ph.D. in May of 2023.
