In December of 2023, The DC Jail & Prison Advocacy Project Disability Rights DC at University Legal Services (ULS) contracted with Choice Research Associates to conduct the “Reviewing Our Efforts – A Qualitative and Quantitative Evaluation of University Legal Services' Reentry Program” project. The project involved the development of interview instruments, conducting client interviews, and analysis of administrative data.  Outcomes include data from the Self-Sufficiency Matrix (SSM), where clients are assessed every 90 days on key life domains (e.g., housing, employment, family or social relations) among returning citizens with psychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injuries and co-occurring substance use disorders in the District of Columbia.
